FRENCH SILK PIE 
4 egg yolks
1/2 box (4 oz.) powdered sugar
1/2 lb. sweet unsalted butter, softened
1/3 c. Kahlua Liqueur (for "Irish" use Bailey's Liqueur)
1 banana
1 oz. Amaretto
1 graham cracker pie crust

Place egg yolks, powdered sugar, butter and Kahlua in a bowl. These items should all be at room temperature, not cold. With electric beater, whip contents of bowl at high speed for about 10 minutes. This is important for consistency and texture. Thinly slice banana and cover bottom of pie crust with slices. Sprinkle Amaretto over the slices and allow to soak into pie crust. Scoop filling into shell and refrigerate. Serve with whipped cream and chocolate shavings on top.
