GREAT BRAN MUFFINS 
4 c. Kellogg's All Bran cereal
2 c. Nabisco 100% Bran cereal
1 c. dates, chopped (optional)
3/4 c. raisins (less if you use dates)

Pour 2 cups boiling water over and mix, then cool.

Cream 1 cup butter. Add 2 1/2 cups sugar, 6 teaspoons baking soda (ample), 1 teaspoon salt, 5 cups flour. Add 4 eggs, and 1 quart buttermilk. Bake at 400 degrees for 20 minutes in greased tins or great in custard cups. Makes HUGE batter. Stores for 1 month in refrigerator.
