ICE BOX BRAN MUFFINS 
2 1/2 c. sugar
1 c. shortening
5 tsp. baking soda
4 c. Kellogg's All Bran
2 c. boiling water
2 c. Nabisco 100% Bran
1 qt. buttermilk
5 c. flour
4 well beaten eggs
1 tsp. salt
5 tsp. cinnamon
Raisins, if desired

Pour boiling water over 100% Bran. Cream shortening and sugar; add eggs and beat until fluffy. Add buttermilk and bran mix. Sift flour, soda, salt and cinnamon and mix all together. Stir in All Bran and raisins or nuts if desired. Bake 25 minutes at 400 degrees.
