1 1/2 c. flour
1 c. sugar
1 tsp. baking soda
1 tsp. vanilla
3 tbsp. cocoa
1/2 tsp. salt
6 tbsp. oil or melted shortening
1 tbsp. vinegar
1 c. cold water

Sift flour and measure. Sift in sugar, cocoa, soda, and salt into ungreased pan. Make 3 holes, place vanilla, vinegar and oil in holes (1 each). Pour cold water over all. Mix well with a fork. Do not beat. Bake in a 350 degree oven for 30 minutes.
