CHERRY PUDDING CAKE | |
1 (16 oz.) can pitted red cherries (not sweetened) 1 tsp. cinnamon 1 c. flour 1 tsp. baking soda 1 1/4 c. sugar Nuts (opt.) 1 egg, beaten 1 tbsp. melted butter 1. Drain cherries; save juice. 2. Mix dry ingredients. 3. Add egg and butter to dry ingredients. 4. Add drained cherries. 5. Pour into greased 8"x8" pan; bake at 350 degrees for 40 minutes. SAUCE: Take reserved juice and add water to make 1 cup. 1 1/2 c. sugar 1 tbsp. cornstarch 1 tbsp. butter 1. Mix together and boil until clear. 2. Serve with cake; whip cream optional. |
