APPLE SCOTCH PIE 
6 lg. apples
3/4 c. brown sugar
1 c. water
2 tsp. vinegar
3/4 c. brown sugar
4 tbsp. flour
Pie crust for double crust pie

Peel, core and slice apples. Mix next 3 ingredients in a cooking pan. Bring to a boil. Simmer the apples until they are tender. I do a few at a time. Remove apples and cool.

Mix brown sugar and flour. Blend with syrup and cook until thickened. Add 2 tablespoons butter. Cool a little.

Fill unbaked pie shell with apples. Pour butterscotch mixture over them. Cover with top crust. Bake at 400 degrees until crust is done.
