SCALLOPED OYSTERS 
1/2 cup dry bread crumbs
1/2 cup coarse cracker crumbs
5 Tbsps. melted butter
1 quart oysters
1/2 tsp. salt
1/4 cup oyster liquor
1/8 tsp. pepper
Dash of nutmeg
2 Tbsps. chopped parsley, if desired
1/4 cup milk

Combine bread crumbs, cracker crumbs and butter. Alternate layers of drained oysters and crumb mixture, sprinkle each layer with seasonings. Pour oyster liquor and milk over layers, top with crumbs. Bake at 350 degrees for 1 hour. Serves 4 as a main course.
