SWEDISH KRINGLE | |
1 c. flour 1/2 c. butter 1 tbsp. water 1 c. water 1/2 c. butter 1 c. flour 3 eggs 1/2 tsp. almond extract FROSTING: 1 c. powdered sugar 1 tbsp. butter 1/2 tsp. almond extract 1-3 tsp. milk 1. Mix like pie crust the first 3 ingredients and pat onto a cookie sheet in 2 strips about 18" long and 3" wide. 2. Heat to boiling the water and butter; remove from heat. 3. Stir in flour; mix until smooth. 4. Add eggs one at a time, beating well after each addition. 5. Add almond extract. 6. Spread onto the 2 strips and bake 50 minutes in 350 degree oven. Cool. 7. Mix frosting ingredients together and frost Kringles when cool. 8. Cut into strips when cooled. Serve and enjoy. |
