3 tbsp. butter
32 lg. marshmallows
1/2 tsp. vanilla extract
1/2 tsp. green pepper coloring
4 c. Cheerios
Sm. gum drops, sliced

Melt butter and marshmallows in saucepan over low heat, stirring constantly. Remove from heat. Stir in vanilla and food coloring. Pour over cereal in large bowl; mix to coat.

Shape warm mixture 2/3 cup at a time into Christmas trees on waxed paper with buttered hands. Decorate with gum drops to represent tree ornaments, add paper stars for tops. Let stand until cool. Yields 6 trees.
