FRUIT CAKE - WHOLE FRUIT 
2 lb. pitted dates
1 lb. whole walnuts
3 slices candied cherries
3 slices candied pineapple
4 lg. eggs, well beaten
1 1/2 c. sugar
1 1/2 c. flour
2 tsp. baking powder
1 tsp. vanilla
1/2 tsp. salt

Put fruits and nuts in dish. Sprinkle with fruit and sugar. Pour well beaten eggs and vanilla over all. Work with hands. Shape into 2 loaves. Bake in slow oven 1 1/2 hours.
