HOT CRABMEAT & ARTICHOKE DIP 
1/4 lb. unsalted butter
1 onion, finely chopped
2 cloves garlic, minced
1/2 c. flour
5-6 green onions, finely chopped
1 pt. half & half
1 lb. lump crabmeat
1 (13 3/4 oz.) can artichoke hearts, drained & quartered
1/4 c. white wine
Salt & pepper to taste

Melt butter in heavy saucepan. Saute onion and garlic about 5 minutes. Stir in flour gradually. Cook over low heat 3-5 minutes. Add green onions. Cook 1-2 minutes. Add half & half and stir constantly over low heat until mixture begins to thicken. Add crabmeat and artichokes, wine, salt and pepper. Cook 5-10 minutes. Serve hot with crackers.
