EMPANADAS EXCELLENTES | |
1/2 lb. ground beef 1/4 c. chopped onion 1 1/2 c. shredded sharp natural cheddar cheese 1/4 c. catsup 1 tsp. chili powder 1/4 tsp. salt 1/4 tsp. Tabasco sauce Pastry for 2 double crust 9" pies Brown meat; drain. Add onion; cook until tender. Stir in cheese, catsup and seasonings. Roll pastry to 1/4 inch thickness on lightly floured surface. Cut pastry with a 3 1/2 inch round cutter. Spoon about 1 teaspoon meat mixture onto center of each round. Fold in half; press edges together with fork. Bake at 450 degrees for 10-12 minutes or until lightly browned. |
