1 1/2 c. sugar
1/2 c. butter
1/2 c. cherry juice
2 1/4 c. flour
16 maraschino cherries, cut
1/2 c. chopped nuts
3 tsp. baking powder
1 tsp. vanilla
1/2 c. milk
4 egg whites

Soften butter; add sugar and mix. Add juice and milk; mix. Add baking powder, vanilla, flour, mix, and egg whites. Mix and add cherries and nuts. Bake at 325 degrees for 1 hour.
