COUNTRY BEEF PIE 
1/2 c. tomato sauce
1/2 c. bread crumbs
1/4 c. chopped onion
1 1/2 tsp. salt
1/8 tsp. pepper
1 lb. ground beef
1/4 c. chopped green pepper
1/8 tsp. oregano

Thoroughly mix all ingredients. Pat mixture into bottom of greased 9-inch pie pan. Pinch 1-inch flutings around edge.

FILLING:

1 1/3 c. instant rice
1 c. water
1 1/2 c. tomato sauce
1/2 t. salt
1 c. grated Cheddar cheese

Combine rice, water, salt, tomato sauce and 1/4 c. cheese. Spoon mixture into meat, crush, cover with foil. Bake at 350 degrees for 25 minutes; remove foil. Sprinkle with remaining cheese. Bake uncovered 10 to 15 minutes. Cut into pie-shaped pieces for serving. Makes 6 to 8 servings.
