SALLY ANN COOKIES 
1 c. lard
1 c. molasses
1/2 c. hot coffee
6 c. flour
1 1/2 c. sugar
1 tsp. ginger
1/2 tsp. nutmeg
1/4 tsp. cloves
1 tsp. baking soda
1 tsp. baking powder
3/4 tsp. salt

Mix all. Chill and cut with empty Spam can. Bake at 325 or 350 degrees about 10 or 15 minutes. Do not overbake.

SALLY ANN COOKIE FROSTING:

2 egg whites
1/4 c. white corn syrup
2 1/2 c. powdered sugar

Beat egg whites until they hold a soft peak. Add sugar gradually and beat well. Add syrup; beat another minute. Frost cookies; let them lay so the frosting is dry.
