CINNAMON ROLL RAISIN BISCUITS
3 c. biscuit mix (like Bisquick)
3/4 c. plus 2 tbsp. water
3/4 c. raisins
2 tbsp. shortening, divided
1 c. powdered sugar, divided
2 1/2 tsp. water

Combine biscuit mix, water, raisins, and 2 teaspoons cinnamon. Turn dough onto surface sprinkled with biscuit mix. Knead lightly 3 or 4 times. Divide dough into 2 balls. Roll each ball to about a 10 x 6 inch rectangle. Spread each with 1 tablespoon shortening. Combine 1/4 cup sugar and 1/2 teaspoon cinnamon. Sprinkle evenly over each. Roll up dough in a jelly roll fashion beginning with longest side. Cut into 1 inch pieces. Place on lightly greased baking sheet. Bake at 450 degrees for 12 to 13 minutes. Combine remaining 3/4 cup sugar, 2 1/2 teaspoons water and 1 teaspoon cinnamon. Spread this glaze on warm biscuits. Makes about 1 1/2 dozen.
