LEE'S CZECHOSLOVAKIAN SQUARES 
1/2 lb. sweet butter
1 c. sugar
1/2 c. strawberry jam (or other fruit jam)
2 egg yolks
2 c. flour
1 c. chopped nuts

Grease 8 inch square pan.

Cream butter; gradually add sugar and cream until light and fluffy. Add egg yolks; blend well. Gradually add flour and mix thoroughly. Fold in nuts.

Spread half the batter in pan. Spread jam over filling. Spread remaining half of batter over the jam. Bake 35-40 minutes at 325. Cool and sprinkle with powdered sugar. Cut into desired squares.
