OATMEAL SCOTCHIES 
1 1/4 c. all-purpose flour
1 tsp. baking soda
1/2 tsp. salt
1/2 tsp. cinnamon
1 c. (2 sticks) butter, softened
3/4 c. sugar
3/4 c. firmly packed brown sugar
2 eggs
1 tsp. vanilla extract
3 c. quick or old fashioned oats, uncooked
1 (12 oz.) pkg. (2 c.) butterscotch (or any flavored) morsels

Preheat oven to 375 degrees. In small bowl, combine flour, baking soda, salt and cinnamon; set aside.

In large mixer bowl, beat butter, sugar, brown sugar, eggs and vanilla extract until creamy. Gradually add flour mixture. Stir in oats and morsels. Drop by level measuring tablespoonfuls onto ungreased cookie sheets. Bake 7-8 minutes. Makes about 4 dozen cookies.
