OATMEAL SCOTCHIES 
1 1/4 c. all-purpose flour
1 tsp. baking soda
1/2 tsp. salt
1/2 tsp. cinnamon
2 sticks butter
3/4 c. sugar
3/4 c. packed brown sugar
2 eggs
1 tsp. vanilla
3 c. oats, uncooked
12 oz. pkg. butterscotch morsels

Preheat oven to 375 degrees. Combine flour, soda, salt and cinnamon. Set aside. In large mixer bowl beat softened butter, sugar, brown sugar, eggs and vanilla until creamy. Gradually add flour mixture. Stir in oats and butterscotch morsels. Drop by level tablespoons onto ungreased cookie sheet. Bake 7 to 8 minutes for chewier cookies, 9 to 10 minutes for crisper cookies. Makes 4 dozen.
