FRESH VEGETABLE MARINADE 
1 lb. fresh broccoli (separated in small pieces)
1 sm. cauliflower (separated in small pieces)
8 lg. fresh sliced mushrooms (or more)
3 stalks celery, (cut in 1 1/2 inch slices)

Combine in a bowl and mix well: 1/2 c. sugar 1/2 c. vinegar 1 lg. onion, grated finely 2 tsp. poppy seeds 2 tsp. dry mustard 1 tsp. salt

Add to vegetables and toss. Cover and refrigerate at least 3 hours. Best overnight, tossing vegetables in marinade several times.
