1 cup butter
2 eggs
1 cup sugar
1 cup brown sugar
1 tsp baking soda
1/4 tsp salt
1 tsp vanilla
1 cup nuts, chopped
3 cups flour

Work all ingredients together and roll into logs. Wrap in plastic wrap and place in ice box. Slice cookies off log as needed and place on ungreased cookie sheet.

Bake at 350°F for 8 - 10 minutes or until brown. Wrap unused portion tightly with plastic and store in refrigerator.
