BANANA CAKE 
1 1/2 c. granulated sugar
4 1/2 tbsp. cold water
2 1/2 c. flour
1 tsp. baking powder
Scant 3/4 c. butter
2 eggs
1 tsp. baking soda
1 1/2 c. crushed bananas

Cream together sugar and butter, add water and bananas, then add in soda, flour and baking powder. Add 1 egg at a time and beat well. Bake at 350 degrees until done.

ICING:

1 lb. brown sugar
3/4 stick butter
1 c. chopped pecans
2 tbsp. flour
1 can moist coconut
Enough milk to obtain desired consistency for spreading

While cake is baking, mix all ingredients, except milk, together, and blend well while adding just enough milk to get desired consistency for spreading. When cake is done, remove from oven and turn oven up to 450 degrees. Spread icing over cake; return cake to oven. Bake at 450 degrees an additional 4 minutes, or until icing just begins to brown. Cool before serving.
