TUFFY'S BREAD PUDDING 
Lightly toast, then butter, 12 slices bread. Cut into small pieces and place in buttered 9 x 12 inch baking dish.

Combine:

6 well beaten eggs
1 1/2 c. sugar
12 oz. can evaporated milk
1/2 c. nuts and-or raisins, if desired
1/4 tsp. salt
3 tsp. vanilla
3 c. boiling water

Pour over toast, sprinkle with sugar and 1 1/2 teaspoons cinnamon. Let set 10 minutes. Bake at 350 degrees for 30 to 45 minutes, or until barely set in center. Serve warm with rum sauce.

RUM SAUCE:

1 stick butter
1 c. powdered sugar

Cook over low heat until sugar is melted. Add 1 well beaten egg and 1 jigger rum or 2 teaspoons rum flavoring. Originally from Tuffy's Restaurant.
