ICE BOX PICKLES 
3 c. sugar
3 c. vinegar
1/4 c. salt
1 tsp. celery seed
1 tsp. mustard seed
1 tsp. turmeric
1 c. cold water
4 cucumbers, sliced
4 onions, sliced

Stir until all ingredients are dissolved. DO NOT HEAT. Pour over cucumbers and onions, alternately in one gallon jar. Refrigerate 7 days (or less), before eating. These stay good in refrigerator for weeks.
