ALMOND BARS 
3/4 cup butter
1 cup sugar
2 eggs
2 tsp vanilla
1 cup coconut
2 cups flour
1/2 tsp salt
2 tsp baking powder
2 tsp almond extract
1/2 cup slivered almonds

Frosting:

6 tbsp butter
2 cups confectioners sugar
almond extract to taste

Mix butter, sugar, eggs, vanilla, and almond extract. Then stir in coconut and dry ingredients. Spread in greased 9 X 13 pan and bake at 350°F for 25-30 minutes.

Frosting: Mix together and add enough milk to make spreadable. Spread on bars and sprinkle with almonds.
