GRANDMA'S SUGARED WALNUTS 
1 1/2 c. sugar
Dash of salt
1/2 c. water
1/4 c. honey
1/2 tsp. vanilla or cinnamon
3 c. walnut halves

Combine sugar, salt, water and honey. Heat, stirring constantly until sugar dissolves and mixture comes to a boil. Cook to medium ball stage. REmove from heat. Add vanilla or cinnamon and walnut halves. Stir until thick and creamy. Turn onto waxed paper and separate with 2 forks. Cool completely. Makes 4 1/2 cups. Store in jar.
