ONION PIE 
12 saltine crackers
1/2 stick sweet butter, melted
4 c. lg. white onions, chopped
1 c. homemade white sauce to which you add 1/4 lb. grated sharp Cheddar cheese

Crush the saltines and mix with 1/2 of the melted butter. Press into a 7 or 8 inch pie dish to form crust. Saute the onions in remaining butter until tender, not brown. Put them into crust. Pour the white sauce with cheese over the onions and bake 15-20 minutes in a 350 degree oven.
