BROCCOLI SALAD 
1 head broccoli, chopped to bite size pieces
1 (1 lb.) pkg. bacon, fried crispy and chopped (or "real" bacon bits)
2 cups shredded cheddar cheese
1 bunch green onions (optional)
1 can chow mein noodles (these are crispy/crunchy)

Dressing:

1 cup mayo
1/2 cup sugar
1/4 cup grated Parmesan cheese

Mix all the ingredients for the salad except the chow mein noodles in a salad bowl. Prepare the dressing on the side. You can add the dressing and chow mein noodles when it's time to serve. Just pour over and toss. It keeps pretty well except the noodles get soggy. Some people like it better (my Dad) the second time around. Great for picnics!
