TEXAS BISCUITS 
3 c. all-purpose flour
4 tsp. baking powder
1 tsp. salt
1 c. buttermilk
1/2 c. lard

Combine flour, baking powder, salt, buttermilk; stir. Cut in lard until has fine texture. Work biscuits for about 20 minutes, then roll out to about 1/2 inch thick. Cut out biscuits and place on ungreased baking sheet. Bake at 450 degrees for 8-10 minutes.
