TEXAS CORNBREAD 
3 tbsp. shortening
3/4 c. corn oil
3 eggs
2 c. self-rising cornmeal
1 can cream corn
1 green pepper (chopped)
1/2 tsp. salt
1/2 tsp. pepper
1 med. onion (chopped)
1/4 c. sugar
8 oz. sour cream
16 oz. Cheddar cheese

Put shortening in pan; put in oven at 350 degrees. Mix well all ingredients (except cheese).

Pour 1/2 of batter into hot greased pan; pour Cheddar cheese on top. Pour the remaining on top of cheese. Bake at 350 degrees for 55 minutes.
