STOLLEN 
1 pkg. yeast
1/4 c. water (warm)
1/2 c. butter
1 c. milk, scalded
1/4 c. sugar
1 tsp. salt
2 tbsp. grated lemon peel or orange peel or both
1/2 tsp. cardamon
4 to 4 1/2 c. flour
1 egg, beaten
1/2 c. currants
1/2 c. raisins
3/4 c. diced fruit

Mix and knead and let rise until double. Divide in 3 parts and make stollen. Let rise and bake at 375 degrees 20 to 25 minutes. Make a glaze with sugar and water, brush on.
