1 1/2 c. boiling water
1 c. oatmeal
1/2 c. soft butter
1 c. brown sugar
1 c. white sugar
2 eggs
1 1/2 c. flour
1 tsp. baking soda
1/2 tsp. salt
1/2 tsp. nutmeg
1/2 tsp. cinnamon
1 tsp. vanilla

Pour boiling water over oatmeal; mix well. Add all other ingredients; mix well and bake at 325 degrees until done.

ICING:

1 stick soft butter
1 c. brown sugar
1 sm. can coconut
1 c. nuts
2 eggs

Stir well. Pour on top of cake. Return to oven and let icing brown.
