HARD CANDY 
1 c. Karo syrup
1 c. sugar

Cook fast and cook to hard crack stage. Set to side and add coloring. Add 1/2 teaspoon flavoring. Stir, pour onto buttered cookie sheet. Work into pieces. Be fast, for candy hardens "fast". Roll in powdered sugar.

COLORING:

Wintergreen - 1/4 teaspoon green.

Cinnamon - 1/4 teaspoon red.

Sassafras - 4 blue drops, 2 red drops.

Lemon - 1/4 teaspoon yellow.

Clove - 3 drops red, 4 yellow, 1 green.
