SOFT BUNS/ROLLS | |
1 c. scalded milk, do not boil 1 1/2 c. warm water 1/4 c. butter 2 beaten eggs 1/2 c. sugar 2 tsp. salt 1 pkg. dry yeast, dissolved in warm water 6 to 8 c. flour Mix into a soft dough. Let rise 1 3/4 hours; knead down; let rise 45 minutes more. Dough should be soft. Shape into buns and put in pans. Let rise again about 1 hour. Bake at 350 degrees until golden. Also makes good cinnamon or caramel rolls. |
