SOFT TOP BUNS 
1/2 c. butter
1 c. hot mashed potatoes
2 tsp. salt
2/3 c. sugar
1 pt. lukewarm milk
1 pkg. dry yeast
About 6 c. flour

Mix hot potatoes with butter, salt and sugar. Dissolve yeast in warm milk. Beat eggs and add to above ingredients. Stir well. Add enough flour to make a soft dough. Rub surface with melted butter. Let rise until double in bulk. Pinch off in pieces to make dinner rolls or larger pieces and flatten to make sandwich buns. Let rise again in pans. Bake 10 to 12 minutes at 450 degrees.
