WINTER SQUASH - MICROWAVE 
To bake acorn, butternut, or spaghetti sauce in the microwave, cut the squash in half, scoop out the seeds, and place cut side down on a Pyrex dish. Cover with waxed paper and cook at 100% until the squash tests tender when pierced with a toothpick or a cake tester. When cool enough to handle, scoop out the cooked squash, add seasonings as wished, and stir until smooth. This can be prepared in advance and reheated when wanted.

Since microwave ovens vary in power, you may need to adjust your cooking time.
