BROWNIE COOKIES 
1/2 c. butter, softened
1 c. sugar
1 egg
1 tsp. vanilla
1 1/2 c. unsifted all-purpose flour
1/3 c. cocoa
1/2 tsp. baking soda
1/2 tsp. salt
1/4 c. milk
1 c. semi-sweet chocolate chips

Cream butter, sugar, egg and vanilla in large mixing bowl until light and fluffy. Combine flour, cocoa, baking soda and salt. Add alternately with milk to creamed mixture, blending well. Stir in chocolate chips.

Drop by teaspoonfuls onto ungreased cookie sheet. Bake at 375 degrees for about 10 minutes or until almost set. (Be careful not to overbake these cookies. They are best a little soft.) Makes about 3 1/2 dozen cookies.
