2 c. sugar
2 c. shortening
2 c. pumpkin
2 eggs
2 tsp. vanilla
4 c. flour
2 tsp. baking powder
1 tsp. baking soda
1 tsp. salt
2 tsp. cinnamon
12 tsp. nutmeg
1/2 tsp. allspice
2 c. raisins
1 c. chopped nuts

Cream shortening and sugar. Add pumpkin, eggs, vanilla. Beat well. Mix dry ingredients and mix with creamed mixture. Stir in raisins and nuts. Drop by teaspoons onto greased cookie sheet.

Bake 350 degrees for 12 to 15 minutes.

Blaze or frost with vanilla frosting if desired.
