2 c. sugar
1 c. milk
1 c. dates
2 c. pecans

Combine sugar and milk and boil to soft ball stage. Pour in dates and melt before removing from fire. After cooling add pecans and beat. Pour on damp cloth and shape into roll. Chill several hours. Slice
