GRANDMA'S GERMAN POTATO SALAD 
15 potatoes
2 onions, chopped
4 hard boiled eggs
Salt
1/2 to 1 c. sugar
1/2 to 1 c. cider vinegar
1 1/2 to 1 1/2 lbs. bacon

Cut bacon into pieces and cook while potatoes cook. Peel and dice or slice potatoes. Add onions, eggs, 1/2 cup sugar, and salt. Mix well. Add bacon and grease. Pour 1/2 cup vinegar into bacon pan and stir into potatoes. Taste, then add sugar, salt, and vinegar as needed.
