SAUERKRAUT AND NOODLES 
1 (12 oz.) pkg. noodles
2 tbsp. butter
2 strips bacon
1/2 c. onion, chopped
1 (1 lb., 4 oz.) can sauerkraut, drained
1 tsp. caraway seeds
1/4 tsp. pepper
8 oz. cheddar cheese, shredded

Cook noodles, drain, add butter and toss lightly. Saute bacon and onion and add to sauerkraut with pepper and caraway seeds. Arrange 3/4 sauerkraut in 2-quart casserole. Cover with noodles, then cheese. Repeat. Cover and bake 45 to 60 minutes at 325 degrees. When finished, uncover and sprinkle with paprika and broil until lightly browned. Serves 8.
