OATMEAL LACE COOKIES 
4 tbsp. flour
1/2 tsp. salt
1/2 tsp. baking powder
1 c. melted butter
2 c. sugar
2 eggs, beaten
2 c. oatmeal
1 tsp. vanilla

Sift flour, salt, and baking powder together. Combine with butter, sugar, eggs, oatmeal, and vanilla. Drop by 1/2 teaspoonfuls on baking sheet about 2 or 3 inches apart. Bake 5 or 6 minutes at 350 degrees or until golden brown. Cool completely. Yields: 15-20 dozen, depending upon size.

The baking sheet may be lined with brown paper or foil (shiny side up) with foil being the most preferred. Also, this cookie mixture is easier to handle if it is refrigerated a few hours before baking.
