TERIYAKI STYLE FLANK STEAK | |
1/2 c. soy sauce 2 tbsp. honey 2 tbsp. vinegar 1 tbsp. minced ginger root 1 clove garlic, crushed 1/4 c. oil 1-2 lb. flank steak (Spice Island dried ginger root 1/4 teaspoon). Combine all items except the steak and mix well. Place meat in a shallow pan or dish and add mixture. Cover and let stand at least 6 hours or overnight in refrigerator. Turn meat several times to make sure all surfaces are coated. Drain and broil meat over charcoal or in broiler about 3 to 4 minutes each side for a medium-rare steak. Slice very thinly, cutting diagonally across the grain of the meat. Makes 5 to 6 servings. Heat marinade and serve with meat. (I usually serve rice with this and pour some of the heated marinade over the rice.) |
