HOT HAM AND CHEESE SANDWICHES 
1/2 c. chopped green onions
1 c. sliced mushrooms
3 tbsp. butter

Saute until lightly colored and soft; set aside. Melt 1/4 cup butter in heavy saucepan. Blend in: 1/4 tsp. salt 1 c. chicken broth 1 c. coffee cream

Stir until sauce is thickened. Add to sauce, 1/2 pound boiled ham, cut into 1- inch slices. Add onion, mushroom mixture to sauce.

Arrange 6 slices toast in 9x13 inch pan. Cover with slice of Swiss cheese (each slice of toast). Pour hot sauce over all. Place slice of tomato on each sandwich. Sprinkle with shredded American or Cheddar cheese. Heat under broiler until cheese melts.
