GRILLED HAM AND CHEESE
1-2 slices American Cheese or Velveeta
3 to 4 thin slices of brown sugar cured (or any kind)
2 pieces of white bread
butter

I use a small pan and a griddle to make these.

Heat the small pan and griddle on med-high as you prep the ingredients.

Put a dab of butter in the small pan so it melts. Add ham and chop up as you stir it in the pan. Butter one side of each of the pieces of bread, and put them butter side down on the griddle. put your slice (s) of cheese on one piece of bread. Place heated and chopped ham on the cheese and top with the other piece of bread, butter side up.

Continue to cook and flip until it's golden on each side.

My wife likes hers smooshed flat and cut in half.

Lol. It is so good to see someone else use the "smoosh" word. I thought I was the only one to use it. I love grilled cheese and ham and will gladly try this recipe. Thanks!

Use mayo insted of the butter. It spreads easier and adds flavor. Gives it a good browning.
