APFEL KUCHEN 
1/2 c. sugar
2 c. flour
3 tsp. baking powder
1/4 tsp. salt
1 tbsp. butter
1 c. milk
1 egg, beaten
2 1/2 c. sliced apples

Topping:

2/3 c. sugar
1 tsp. cinnamon
1 c. cream

Mix dry ingredients. Blend in butter. Add milk and egg; mix. Pour into a 9 x 13-inch buttered pan. Arrange apples over top. Sprinkle apples with 2/3 cup sugar and 1 teaspoon cinnamon. Drizzle 1 cup cream over the top.

Bake at 375°F for 10 minutes. Reduce heat to 350°F for 30 minutes or until done.
