PINEAPPLE TORTE 
1/2 c. butter
1 1/2 c. powdered sugar
3 eggs, well beaten
1 lg. (#2 1/2) can crushed pineapple, well drained
1 c. pecans, sm. pieces
1 c. whipping cream, whipped
1 sm. (7 1/2 oz.) box vanilla wafers, crushed

Butter 2-inch deep dish well. Cream butter, sugar, eggs. Spread half of crushed vanilla wafers on bottom of dish following with butter mixture, pineapple, whipped cream, nuts and then the rest of the vanilla wafers. Refrigerate. Best made the day before serving.
