CHEERIOS NUGGETS 
1 c. packed brown sugar
1/2 c. butter
1/4 c. light corn syrup
1/2 tsp. salt, optional
1/2 tsp. baking soda
6 c. Cheerios
1 c. peanuts
1 c. raisins
1 c. shredded coconut
1 c. pretzel nubs

Heat oven to 250 degrees; grease 2 (13 x 9 x 2) pans (or 2 pizza pans will work real well). Heat brown sugar, butter, corn syrup and salt in 2 quart saucepan over medium heat; stirring until bubbly at edges. Cook uncovered, stirring constantly for 2 minutes longer. Remove from heat; stir in baking soda until foamy and light colored. Add cereal, peanuts, raisins, coconut and pretzels; mix until well coated. Spread evenly in greased pans. Bake 20 to 25 minutes. Stir then let stand until cool (about 10 minutes). Loosen mixture with metal spatula. Let stand until firm (about 30 minutes). Break into bite size pieces. Store in plastic container with tight lid or in large zip closure bags.
