1 c. sugar
1/2 c. brown sugar
1 c. shortening
2 eggs
1 tsp. vanilla
2 1/2 c. flour
1 tsp. salt
1 tsp. baking soda
1 c. cut up sm. gum drops
1/2 c. chopped nuts

Cream sugar, shortening, eggs and vanilla. Add blended dry ingredients to creamed mixture. Stir in gum drops and nuts; mix well. Drop by teaspoonfuls onto greased baking sheet. Bake at 350 degrees for 10 minutes.
