1 c. sugar
1/2 c. brown sugar
1 c. shortening
2 eggs
1 tsp. vanilla
2 1/3 c. flour
1 tsp. salt
1 tsp. baking soda
1 c. cut up gum drops
1/2 c. chopped nuts

Mix and drop by teaspoonfuls on greased baking sheet and bake at 350 degrees for 15 minutes. Makes 5 to 6 dozen cookies.
